RESOLVED THAT: the Regular Meeting commence at the hour of 7:00 p.m. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT: Council acknowledges that we are meeting in the Robinson-Superior Treaty area on lands that have been traditionally used by several Indigenous nations, but, we would like to pay special recognition to our closest Indigenous neighbours, the communities of Biigtigong Nishnaabeg and Netmizaaggamig Nishnaabeg First Nations. We wish to recognize the long history of the First Nations and Métis peoples in our region, specifically, and show respect to them today. RESOLVED THAT: Council requests delegations with the following Minister(s) at the Association of Municipalities Ontario (AMO) 2024 Conference:  Minister of Natural Resources and Forestry  Minister of Northern Development  Minister of Health Ayes: Mayor Jim Moffat, Councillor Braden Kotyk, and Councillor Tonilynn Ruff

RESOLVED THAT: Council is in receipt of Administration Report FD2024-03 submitted by Don Kruger, Fire Chief, regarding Manitouwadge Community Wildfire Protection (FireSmart); and further, THAT Council receives the Manitouwadge FireSmart plan, as presented. RESOLVED THAT: Council is in receipt of Administration Report FDMonthly24-03 submitted by Don Kruger, Fire Chief, regarding Fire Department Monthly Report; and further, THAT Council receives the Fire Chief’s monthly report as presented. RESOLVED THAT: Council is in receipt of Administration Report ADM2024-16 submitted by Joleen Keough, Clerk/Deputy CAO, regarding Official Plan Approved; and further, THAT Council receives ADM2024-16 for information purposes. Being a Bylaw to Appoint an Acting Fire Chief for the Corporation of the Township of Manitouwadge (Kelly Dorion), be read a first and second time. Being a Bylaw to Appoint an Acting Deputy Fire Chief for the Corporation of the Township of Manitouwadge (Tiffany Lidster), be read a first and second time.
